Location
CA1066 office in St Leonards-on-Sea when not out on client visits. Serving Hastings, Rother, and surrounding areas.
Hours
30 to 37 hours per week. Flexible working arrangements can be discussed.
Salary
£27,189 - £28,728 (pro-rata if part-time). Pay increases to the top band after successful completion of training.
About the Role
Citizens Advice 1066 is recruiting a reliable Home Visit Energy Adviser to join our team on a permanent basis. This role focuses on delivering practical energy advice directly to residents in their homes, helping to reduce energy costs and improve community welfare. You will visit client homes to set up and manage smart meters and dataloggers that collect energy, temperature, and humidity data. Using this information, you will provide tailored energy advice both in person and over the phone. Maintaining clear and accurate case records is essential, as is prioritizing the client’s overall wellbeing by signposting or referring them to other relevant support services when needed. You will also provide or install small energy-saving measures to help improve efficiency and encourage positive energy habits. This role reports to the Project Manager and Energy Service Supervisor.

Experience
Experience working directly with clients in a calm, organized manner is desirable. Previous experience in energy advice or related fields is advantageous but not essential.

You are calm, organized, and focused on client needs. You have strong communication skills and a commitment to improving community welfare. You are reliable and able to work independently when visiting clients’ homes. A practical approach to problem solving and a willingness to learn are essential.
Qualifications
No specific qualifications are required for this role, but relevant training will be provided. A full UK driving licence is desirable as travel to client homes is required.
