About the Role
Play a supporting role in the UK's first carbon-neutral property company, driving a bold sustainability agenda. Support a living Landmark by maintaining our Garden Squares, including the new Grosvenor Square, transforming it into a world-class, biodiverse urban oasis that celebrates 300 years of history and sets new standards for green infrastructure. Most of your apprenticeship will be spent working on the job, gaining hands-on experience in horticulture and grounds maintenance across the London Estate. You will assist in maintaining high standards of horticulture, caring for colourful planters, and where appropriate, creating wildlife areas. This role requires enthusiasm, hard work, and a willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions. You will help shape gardens that are not only beautiful but resilient, supporting wildlife, wellbeing, and climate adaptation in the heart of Mayfair and Belgravia. This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to sustainable urban spaces within a historic and forward-thinking organisation.
Experience
Some basic horticultural skills and an avid interest in horticulture are desirable. Experience working outdoors and operating garden machinery is beneficial. The role may involve working at height.
About you
Enthusiastic, hardworking, and passionate about working outdoors. You should have good communication, attention to detail, organisation, problem-solving, and presentation skills. A willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
Qualifications
Desirable qualifications include GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade 4 (or equivalent) or above. Candidates with other relevant qualifications or industry experience are encouraged to apply, as the apprenticeship can be tailored to reflect existing knowledge and skills.
