About the Role

As an HSE Advisor, you will play a key role in ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance across the organisation. You will collaborate closely with management and employees to develop and implement effective HSE strategies, policies, and procedures. Your responsibilities include advising managers and teams on their health and safety duties, conducting regular site inspections and assessments, investigating accidents and incidents, and ensuring compliance with legal and company standards. You will support the creation of H&S documentation, maintain records aligned with global reporting requirements, and deliver HSE training and toolbox talks. Additionally, you will chair or advise on H&S working groups and committees, assist with audit preparations, and provide guidance on risk assessments, method statements, and construction-related CDM regulations. You will also support facilities management, overseas colleagues working in the UK, project and maintenance contracts as the embedded HSE Advisor, and the management of subcontractors to ensure compliance with BEUMER standards and legal requirements. Collaboration with the Quality team to maintain ISO compliance is also part of the role.
Experience
- Experience working in construction is preferred.
- Experience with automation systems is preferred.
- Experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 standards is preferred.
- Environmental management experience is desirable.

Qualifications
- Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate (NEBOSH Construction Certificate preferred if working on site installation).
- Minimum TechIOSH membership.
- Valid CSCS card relevant to qualifications.
- Desired: SSSTS certification (SMSTS preferred).
- Train the Trainer qualification preferred.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Commitment to ongoing CPD in line with IOSH.
