About the Role

As an HSE Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance across the organisation. You will work closely with management and employees to develop and implement effective HSE strategies, policies, and procedures. Key responsibilities include advising and assisting managers and teams on health and safety duties, conducting regular site inspections and assessments, undertaking accident and incident investigations, and ensuring compliance with legal and company standards. You will support the creation of H&S documentation, maintain records for global reporting, deliver HSE training and toolbox talks, and provide guidance on risk assessments, method statements, and construction-related CDM regulations. Additional duties include supporting facilities management with statutory H&S and environmental requirements, assisting overseas colleagues with UK compliance, embedding within projects and maintenance contracts as the site HSE Advisor, managing sub-contractor compliance, and collaborating with the Quality team to ensure ISO standard adherence.
Experience
- Experience working in construction is preferred
- Experience with automation systems is preferred
- Experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 preferred
- Environmental management experience

- Committed to ongoing professional development in line with IOSH
Qualifications
- Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate (NEBOSH Construction Certificate preferred for site installation roles)
- Minimum TechIOSH membership
- CSCS card relevant to qualifications
- Desired: Valid SSSTS certification (SMSTS preferred)
- Desired: Train the Trainer qualification
- Full driving licence
