About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Environmental focused Senior Engineer, HSE Advisor to join our team on a long-term contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing project Environmental deliverables including Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), Environmental Assessments (EA), Environmental, Social and Health Impact Assessments (ESHIA), HSE Plans, HSE Philosophy documents, and Scopes of Work for third parties such as Environmental Baseline Studies (EBS) and EIAs. You will organise and attend safety workshops including Environmental Interface Documents (ENVID) and Simultaneous Operations (SIMOPS), attend ENVID meetings, and liaise effectively with clients and external stakeholders. This role requires a proactive individual capable of working independently and collaboratively to deliver high quality outputs on schedule while ensuring compliance with UK regulatory frameworks and international standards.
Experience
- Demonstrable experience working on energy projects, including oil and gas design projects
- Strong knowledge of UK regulatory requirements for both onshore and offshore environments
- Experience working to Issued for Construction (IFC) and World Bank standards
- Proven background in safety and environmental engineering
- Ability to prepare and critically review high quality environmental engineering documentation, both internally and from third parties
