About the Role
As the HSE & Construction Site Safety Advisor, you will be a key member of the Capital (Capex) project team, providing expert Health & Safety guidance across all phases of construction projects. You will ensure compliance with CDM2015, building regulations, and EMCOR UK/client standards. Your responsibilities will include supporting the review of risk assessments, construction phase planning, and site welfare setup. You will conduct audits, inspections, and compliance evaluations, driving corrective actions and continuous improvement. Promoting a culture of wellbeing and safety through initiatives such as Be There For Life and other wellbeing programs set by EMCOR UK will be essential. You will assist in incident investigations, share lessons learned, maintain ISO accreditations (9001, 45001, 14001), and contribute to inclusive policies supporting mental and physical wellbeing. Representing EMCOR UK at stakeholder forums, producing performance reports, and ensuring subcontractor compliance will be part of your role. You will collaborate with client HSEQ&W teams to deliver contract obligations and foster strong working relationships. Engaging stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, offering technical input from planning to completion, and ensuring standards are upheld will be key. Additionally, you will perform trend analysis of near misses and issues on customer sites to report on potential behavioural concerns.

About you
