About the Role
As the HSE Coordinator at Safran Seats GB sites, you will be responsible for coordinating all Health, Safety and Environment operations to ensure compliance and promote a safe working environment. Your duties will include managing Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and Permits to Work. You will work closely with Human Resources, Occupational Health, and the workforce to coordinate the Health Surveillance Programme and conduct regular General Planned Inspections (GPIs), tracking progress and improvements.

You will act as a key point of contact for HSE concerns, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and promoting awareness campaigns. Coordination of the Mental Health First Aid programme and volunteers will also be a key part of your role. Additionally, you will liaise with Facilities and Site Services to ensure contractors and visitors comply with relevant safety requirements.

Other responsibilities include maintaining PPE/RPE supplies, monitoring SEAT cards for trends, ensuring sufficient trained personnel for Fire Marshal, First Aider, and MHFA roles, and escalating HSE concerns through management channels. You will also support wellbeing and welfare initiatives in collaboration with management, HR, and Occupational Health.

Requirements

Experience
- Experience of Health and Safety in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge and proficiency in legislation, regulations, and other applicable requirements
- Experience coordinating Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments, and Safe Systems of Work
- Experience with Mental Health First Aid and First Aid at Work (FAW) programmes

Qualifications
- NEBOSH General Certificate (achieved or working towards)
- IOSH Managing Safely
- Mental Health First Aid qualification
- First Aid at Work (FAW)
- Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
