About the Role
As an HSE Coordinator at Safran Seats GB sites, you will coordinate the Health, Safety and Environment operations to ensure compliance and promote a safe working environment. Your responsibilities will include coordinating Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and Permits to Work. You will work closely with Human Resources, Occupational Health, and the workforce to manage the Health Surveillance Programme and conduct regular General Planned Inspections (GPIs), tracking progress and improvements.
You will act as a focal point for HSE concerns, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and promoting HSE awareness campaigns. Coordination of the Mental Health First Aid programme and volunteers will also be a key part of your role. Additionally, you will liaise with Facilities and Site Services to ensure contractors and visitors comply with relevant risk assessments and permits.
Other duties include maintaining PPE/RPE supplies, monitoring SEAT cards for trends, ensuring sufficient trained personnel for Fire Marshal, First Aider, and MHFA roles, and escalating HSE concerns through management channels. You will also support wellbeing and welfare initiatives in collaboration with management, HR, and Occupational Health.

Experience
- Experience in Health and Safety within a manufacturing environment
- Experience coordinating HSE programmes and conducting inspections

Qualifications
- NEBOSH General Certificate (achieved or working towards)
- IOSH Managing Safely
- Mental Health First Aid qualification
- First Aid at Work (FAW)
- Knowledge and proficiency in relevant legislation, regulations, and HSE requirements
- Computer literate with MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Understanding of processes and policies related to HSE coordination
