About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead all health, safety, and environmental activities at our Clitheroe site. This is a key position within the business where you will drive HSE performance, ensure compliance, and help foster a strong safety culture across the site. You will be part of the wider HSE leadership team, collaborating closely with the Head of HSE, site leadership, and operational teams to not only meet but exceed HSE standards.

Your responsibilities will include leading all aspects of HSE across the site, setting direction, monitoring performance, and maintaining progress. You will develop and implement HSE improvement plans aligned with company strategy and operational goals. Acting as the competent person for HSE matters, you will provide expert advice and ensure compliance with relevant legislation. You will manage site security and environmental compliance, including waste management and physical security.

Additional duties include leading HSE audits, coordinating follow-ups, supporting customer and regulatory visits, assisting with risk assessments, control measures, and emergency response planning. You will report performance using KPIs, identify trends, and share insights with the wider team. You will also play a key role in committee meetings and leadership forums to promote a positive HSE culture, support and develop HSE team members, and contribute to the wider HSE community.

Experience
A minimum of 7 years' experience in HSE roles, ideally within manufacturing or complex operational environments.

Forward-thinking and proactive individual with confidence in using technology and modern HSE systems. Excellent communicator and influencer, capable of engaging effectively with all levels from shop floor to boardroom. Proven leadership skills with experience in driving positive change and leading teams.

Qualifications
Level 6 HSE Ofqual qualification (or equivalent). Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, environmental compliance, physical security, and risk management.
