About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager to take ownership of all HSE matters across TOMRA Collection UK operations, including offices, warehouses, Reverse Vending Machine (RVM) sites, and partner locations. This pivotal role ensures compliance with UK legislation and TOMRA's Safe Management System (TSMS), while driving a proactive safety culture. You will act as the primary source of HSE expertise, supporting the Managing Director and leading initiatives that protect our people, customers, and partners.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure legal compliance with UK HSE legislation including Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, RIDDOR, COSHH, Fire Safety, and Mental Health at Work Act 2025
- Maintain and update TOMRA's HSE policies and procedures to meet statutory and company requirements
- Develop, implement, and review risk assessments and safe systems of work across all operations
- Lead incident reporting, investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions; manage internal and external audits and maintain documentation
- Deliver engaging HSE training and promote a proactive safety culture using leading and lagging indicators
- Act as the main contact for UK regulators, auditors, customers, and partners; provide HSE input in RFP and tender processes
- Support digital transformation of HSE systems and monitor emerging risks such as automation, climate resilience, and mental health
- Lead emergency response planning, environmental compliance, wellbeing initiatives, contractor standards, and report on HSE KPIs and annual performance

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience in HSE management within multi-site operations. Strong knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation.

Qualifications
