About the Role
ZeroAvia is at the forefront of the transition to zero-emission flight, developing pioneering hydrogen-electric propulsion systems for both civil and defence aerospace applications. As the world's only Design Organization Approved company dedicated exclusively to hydrogen-electric aviation, we have achieved major flight test and regulatory milestones with the UK CAA and FAA, while securing more than 3,000 pre-orders from airlines, OEMs, and defence customers worldwide. At ZeroAvia, you'll join a talented and mission-driven team tackling some of the aviation industry's most complex challenges. This is an opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology, contribute to groundbreaking aerospace innovation, and help shape the future of both commercial and defence aviation. Together, we're delivering hydrogen-electric flight to power sovereign and clean skies, strengthen aerospace resilience, and create lasting impact for our customers, the aviation industry, and future generations.
As a Hydrogen Fuel Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, integration, and validation of gaseous and liquid hydrogen fuel systems for next-generation aircraft. Working across system architecture, requirements management, aircraft integration, safety analysis, testing, and certification activities, you will be responsible for delivering robust hydrogen storage, distribution, and conditioning solutions that meet demanding performance, reliability, and regulatory requirements. Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, suppliers, and certification stakeholders, you will drive technical development from concept through to flight-ready implementation, ensuring safe and efficient operation while helping to advance commercially viable hydrogen-electric aviation.
