About the Role
Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. Join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the most exciting and largest megaprojects in the UK, at the forefront of the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years.

The IMS Auditor role provides independent, objective and evidence-based assurance on the adequacy, implementation and effectiveness of the Sizewell C integrated management system and associated governance, compliance and assurance arrangements. You will plan and deliver risk-based IMS audits, targeted and functional IMS audit activities, produce clear and well-written reports, verify action close-out, and support continual improvement across a fast-paced, highly regulated project environment.

Key responsibilities include developing, maintaining and delivering a risk-based IMS audit and functional annual audit programme aligned to project priorities, certification requirements and regulatory expectations; planning and conducting IMS audits and targeted interventions using interviews, document review, sampling, observation and testing of objective evidence; assessing whether IMS arrangements are documented, understood, implemented, controlled and effective in practice; producing concise, factual and well-structured reports; embedding and strengthening root cause analysis initiatives; identifying recurring weaknesses and systemic issues to support decision-making and organisational learning; building strong and credible working relationships while maintaining auditor independence; and supporting external audits, certification activity and assurance reviews, contributing to continual improvement of the integrated management system.

- Ability to analyse trends, assess significance and make evidence-based judgements
- Credible stakeholder engagement skills, able to influence constructively without losing independence
- Strong organisation, prioritisation and follow-through in a fast-paced changing environment

Qualifications
- Degree qualified in engineering, science, quality, business management or another relevant discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Recognised Lead Auditor qualification in ISO 9001 or another relevant management system discipline
