About the Role
Switch2 Energy Ltd is a leading operator of residential communal heating infrastructure in the UK and a pioneer in decarbonising the UK economy. We are seeking a motivated and talented Junior Heat Network Engineer to join our Consultancy Team and contribute to delivering low carbon heat network solutions. This role offers the opportunity to support the design, analysis, and delivery of heat network consultancy projects, working alongside experienced engineers on projects ranging from feasibility studies to detailed design and implementation support. You will be involved in technical analysis, modelling, reporting, and client engagement activities across a portfolio of projects including new heat network developments, optimisation of existing systems, and decarbonisation strategies. This position is ideal for someone with a strong technical foundation looking to develop expertise in heat networks and energy systems. Key responsibilities include liaising with clients on day-to-day project activities, producing draft technical reports and design outputs, supporting the development and maintenance of models and tools, assisting with site visits and surveys under senior guidance, managing elements of funding applications, and taking ownership of assigned deliverables while working to deadlines.

Experience
1-2 years’ direct experience in a relevant engineering or heat network role is essential. Experience with AutoCAD is referable but not required.

Qualifications
