About the Role
We are recruiting a Land Management Advisor to support our nature recovery work across East Kent. You will work closely with farmers, landowners, and other stakeholders to develop and deliver plans that assist with nature recovery, focusing on key areas including Romney Marsh (covering parts of the Dungeness, Romney Marsh and Rye Bay SSSI), Folkestone to Etchinghill Escarpment SSSI, and Alkham, Lydden and Swingfield Woods SSSI and surrounding areas. Collaborating with partners such as Affinity Water, the Environment Agency, Natural England, and the wider White Cliffs Countryside Partnership team, you will identify opportunities for habitat improvements, plan and implement actions where feasible. Your responsibilities will include ecological assessments, contract management, producing management plans, and ensuring measurable outcomes such as improved habitat condition are achieved. You will proactively seek and secure funding to support larger-scale habitat improvements and deliver smaller-scale interventions with volunteers.

Experience
An experienced land management professional with a strong background in partnership working and stakeholder engagement. Proven ability to write concise and detailed reports and a good working knowledge of the land management sector, including farming and relevant funding mechanisms to deliver benefits for nature.

About you
Outgoing and self-motivated with a passion for nature recovery. Able to work flexibly and under your own initiative, coordinating work across multiple sites and managing contractors effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
