About the Role
EMEC Ecology is a growing business delivering projects across the East Midlands and beyond. We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Land Management Supervisor to join our experienced and friendly Land Management team. You will oversee and supervise the delivery of habitat and site contracts including grassland, woodland, scrub and wetland management, survey and monitoring activities, and event delivery. The role involves practical conservation and countryside management work, often on difficult terrain and in inclement weather, including the use of heavy equipment and working on steep slopes. Travel and occasional overnight stays away from home are required. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in nature’s recovery, working for a company that gift-aids all profits to Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust to support conservation on the ground. This post is subject to a Basic DBS check. Interviews are planned for 21/22 January 2026.
Experience
Proven experience in planning, supervising, and delivering practical conservation and countryside management work is essential. Experience working with habitat management including grassland, woodland, scrub, and wetland is highly desirable.
About you
You are passionate about nature and conservation, enthusiastic, and motivated to make a difference. You are comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and on challenging terrain. A full driving licence is essential due to travel requirements. You are able to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organisational and communication skills.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in ecology, land management, or countryside management are advantageous but not explicitly stated. Willingness to undergo a Basic DBS check and other pre-employment checks including right to work and driving licence verification is required.
