About the Role
The Landscapes Sales Assistant will play a key role in maintaining and presenting the landscapes area to a high standard. Responsibilities include stocking paving sets, paving slabs, rocks/stones, and timber products. You will pick and pack orders for both direct sales and web orders, prepare stock for customer deliveries, and unpack incoming deliveries. The role involves completing customer orders through tills, arranging deliveries, and handling customer details as needed. You will assist customers by carrying and lifting stock items, organizing and managing stock within your department, and contributing to the smooth running of promotions or events. Greeting and advising customers of all experience levels, maintaining a constant presence on the shop floor, ensuring stock levels are maintained, and keeping displays tidy are essential. Daily care of the department and storage area, including cleaning and updating promotional materials, is also required. Using tills and the point of sales system to look up prices and product information is part of the role.

Experience
Some experience in a landscaping or retail environment is beneficial but not essential.

About you
You must understand and comply with safe handling of goods and manual handling procedures. Ability to listen and follow instructions is essential. You should be able to complete a wide range of tasks including lifting and carrying. The ability to work independently for short periods and a keen eye for detail and general presentation of the landscapes area are important qualities.
