Mainly based in Hereford with expectations to cover across the whole Housing Portfolio when required.

Hours
Full Time with participation in an out of hours on-call rota, with additional pay on top of base salary.

Are you ready to take the next big step in your heating engineering career? We’re looking for an exceptional Lead Compliance Technician – Heating to become a key part of our team. This pivotal role combines hands-on work with the opportunity to act as a trusted technical mentor—helping engineers, solving complex issues, and ensuring our customers receive the very best service. You will use your technical expertise to shape service quality, drive best practice, and help deliver safe, compliant, and efficient heating services across our homes.

As the technical lead, you will provide expert advice on heating compliance, diagnostics, servicing, and maintenance. You will support and mentor engineers, assist with audits and quality checks, and promote continuous improvement across the service. This role requires delivering high-standard servicing and maintenance within tenants’ homes while ensuring all work meets regulatory, safety, and quality standards.

Requirements

Experience
Extensive experience in domestic heating systems servicing and maintenance including Gas (CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1) which is essential. Experience with G3 unvented systems. Knowledge of Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) is desirable. Experience with solid fuel, oil systems, and renewables is also desirable.

Highly experienced and confident in compliance, safety regulations, and best practice. A natural problem solver and team player with excellent communication skills. Able to act as a technical mentor and provide guidance to engineers. Willingness to participate in an out of hours on-call rota. Motivated to deliver high-quality service and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
Fully gas-qualified (CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1) is essential. Additional accreditation in solid fuel, oil, and renewables is desirable. If you do not have ASHP/GSHP qualifications, full training will be provided through Connexus.
