About the Role

As the Lead Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Advisor, you will be an integral part of the EHS team supporting the EHS Manager at the Brimsdown site. You will proactively contribute to occupational health & safety, environmental management, general safety, and wellbeing initiatives, promoting and supporting a positive safety culture across the site.
In this critical role, you will manage both reactive and proactive EHS activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant legislation. Your responsibilities will include driving safety risk reduction programs, verifying implementation of safety practices, reporting metrics and incidents, and providing early warnings and guidance to site leadership on safety matters.
Key duties include:
- Managing day-to-day EHS operational issues such as risk assessments and general queries
- Ensuring compliance with Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) Regulations, local legislation, and internal policies
- Initiating and supporting Management of Change (MoC) assessment processes
- Leading and coordinating the EHS audit program to maintain ISO and other compliance standards
- Verifying effective implementation of risk reduction and mitigation actions through audits and inspections
This role requires excellent planning, prioritisation, multitasking, and attention to detail to effectively manage competing demands while delivering innovative and practical EHS solutions.
Experience
- Proven EHS experience in an industrial, process-driven, or engineering environment is essential.
- Working knowledge of EHS legislation and risk assessment methodologies including HAZOP, LOPA, COSHH, and Ergonomics.
- Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, COMAH, COSHH, and Environmental Permitting.
- Trained auditor for ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and/or ISO 9001 standards.

Qualifications
- Minimum NEBOSH Certificate with progression towards a Diploma or equivalent health and safety qualification.
