About the Role
Join Johnson Matthey and be part of a world-changing career with over 200 years of history, helping to accelerate the transition to net-zero. As the Lead Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Advisor, you will be a key member of the EHS team supporting the EHS Manager on all occupational health & safety, environmental, general safety, and wellbeing matters at the Brimsdown site. You will proactively participate in the team, offering solutions and actively promoting a positive safety culture.

Your role will focus on driving programmatic safety risk reduction through implementation and verification of practices aligned with Johnson Matthey safety policies, ensuring compliance, and reporting metrics and incidents. Key duties include providing early warning and planning guidance to site leadership on safety matters, ensuring compliance with Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) Regulations, local legislation, and internal policies. You will handle operational EHS issues such as risk assessments and queries, initiate and support Management of Change (MoC) assessments, verify risk reduction actions through auditing, and lead the EHS audit programme to maintain ISO and other compliance standards.
