About the Role

As the Lead Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Advisor, you will be an integral part of the EHS team at the Brimsdown site, supporting the EHS Manager on all occupational health & safety, environmental, general safety, and wellbeing matters. You will proactively contribute to the team by offering practical solutions, promoting a positive safety culture, and ensuring compliance with company safety policies.
In this critical role, you will manage both reactive and proactive EHS activities, including planning, prioritising, and organising work to reduce safety risks. Your responsibilities will include providing early warnings and guidance to site leadership on safety matters, ensuring compliance with Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) regulations and local legislation, handling day-to-day operational EHS issues such as risk assessments, and supporting Management of Change (MoC) processes.
You will also lead the EHS audit programme to maintain ISO and other compliance standards, verify the implementation of risk reduction actions, and report on safety metrics and incidents. This role requires strong leadership, decision-making skills, and the ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
Experience
- Proven EHS experience in an industrial, process-driven, or engineering environment is essential.
- Experience working with EHS legislation and risk assessment methodologies such as HAZOP, LOPA, COSHH, and Ergonomics.
- Working knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, COMAH, COSHH, and Environmental Permitting.
- Experience as a trained auditor for ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and/or ISO 9001.
- Demonstrated leadership and decision-making capabilities.

Qualifications
- Minimum NEBOSH Certificate with progression towards a Diploma or equivalent health and safety qualification.
