About the Role

As the Lead Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Advisor, you will be a key member of the EHS team supporting the EHS Manager at the Brimsdown site. Your role will involve proactively addressing occupational health & safety, environmental, general safety, and wellbeing matters. You will promote and support a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant legislation, and drive safety risk reduction programs through implementation and verification of best practices.
In this demanding leadership role, you will manage reactive EHS issues while maintaining proactive daily responsibilities. Your ability to plan, prioritise, organise work, and multitask with attention to detail will be essential.
Key duties include:
- Providing early warning and planning guidance to site leadership on safety matters
- Ensuring compliance with Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) Regulations, local legislation, internal policies, procedures, and programs
- Managing day-to-day EHS operational issues such as risk assessments and general queries
- Initiating, facilitating, and supporting Management of Change (MoC) assessment processes
- Verifying effective implementation of risk reduction and mitigation actions through auditing
- Leading and coordinating the EHS audit programme to maintain ISO and other compliance standards
Experience
- Proven EHS experience in an industrial, process-driven, or engineering environment is essential
- Working knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, COMAH, COSHH, and Environmental Permitting
- Understanding of EHS legislation and risk assessment methodologies including HAZOP, LOPA, COSHH, and Ergonomics
- Experience as a trained auditor for ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and/or ISO 9001

Qualifications
