As a Lead Software Engineer on our Industrial Sustainability Reporting Platform, you will lead the design, architecture, and implementation of scalable APIs, services, and accessibility-first user interfaces. You will deliver AI-native features spanning carbon accounting, ESG data collection, and sustainability planning, driving the platform’s evolution into modular, event-driven, API-first components. This role involves owning reliability and operational excellence, championing DevOps practices, mentoring engineers, and collaborating closely with Product Management, Design, AI, and Platform Engineering teams. You will bring a product- and customer-led mindset to solve complex challenges in industrial decarbonization, helping create scalable cloud-native systems that make a real-world impact. Experience
- Strong full stack software engineering skills with proven front-end and back-end development capability
- Solid experience with modern front-end technologies, particularly React or similar frameworks
- Strong back-end engineering experience, ideally including GoLang or comparable languages
- Experience designing and building scalable APIs, services, and cloud-native applications
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices including CI/CD, deployment automation, monitoring, and incident response
- Proven ability to deliver secure, observable, high-quality production software
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP (desirable)
- Experience with event-driven architectures, distributed systems, or microservices (desirable)
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL (desirable)
- Experience working in cross-functional product teams and mentoring engineers (desirable)
- Familiarity with AI-enabled, data-intensive, sustainability, carbon intelligence, ESG reporting, or enterprise SaaS products (desirable)
- Familiarity with sustainability frameworks and standards such as GHG Protocol, CSRD, SBTi (desirable)
- Knowledge of observability, reliability engineering, SLOs, error budgets, and production incident management (desirable)
