About the Role
At Low Carbon Hub, we’re not just talking about change - we’re making it happen. The Local Authority Liaison Officer will play a pivotal role in supporting the prioritisation and delivery of hyperlocal place-based projects that support the transition to a zero-carbon energy system. Working closely with project delivery and community engagement colleagues, you’ll ensure that our place-based work is credible, empowering and delivering meaningful change on the ground.
You’ll be working alongside passionate project and engagement managers delivering real impact, from community energy events to thermal imaging campaign training, SME energy efficiency assessments and funding, and coordinating innovative Community Action Plans for Zero Energy Systems. You will lead engagement with local authorities regarding the delivery of Community Action Plans and the development of methodologies for prioritising, creating, and facilitating their implementation.
Our partner local authorities in Oxfordshire are undergoing reorganisation, placing you at the heart of maintaining and building relationships and partnerships during this critical period. You will build partnerships with councils and communities to accelerate the transition to net zero, help turn local climate ambitions into practical projects, programmes and action plans, and join up local authority needs with Low Carbon Hub’s data, insights and local knowledge to identify opportunities and shape place-based solutions.
You will also develop funding opportunities, partnerships and projects that deliver real impact and help communities have a stronger voice in local energy and climate decisions. This is a great role for someone who thrives on collaboration, engagement and creating positive change at a local level.
Low Carbon Hub is a small but mighty social enterprise that thrives on agility, adaptability, and impact. If you share our passion for meaningful change, love working in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment, and want to be part of a team making a tangible difference, we’d love to hear from you.
