About the Role
Imagine starting your working day surrounded by wildlife, the sea and one of Cornwall’s most special nature reserves. Now imagine being the person who helps shape its future. Cornwall Wildlife Trust is looking for an exceptional Island Manager to lead the next chapter of Looe Island, protecting its wildlife, inspiring visitors, leading staff and volunteers, and creating unforgettable island experiences. This is no ordinary management role. It’s an opportunity to combine your passion for conservation with practical leadership, people management and a flair for creating a truly special visitor experience.

We’re looking for someone who can:
- Put wildlife and conservation at the heart of every decision
- Lead and inspire a dedicated team and volunteers
- Create memorable experiences for visitors and guests
- Help build a sustainable future for this extraordinary place

We are open to appointing one Island Manager or two people sharing the role, whether a couple or friends, with hours, responsibilities and salary agreed to suit the arrangement. Island accommodation is provided, with the option for a partner to live on the island.

If you’re practical, passionate about nature, comfortable with island life and ready for a role that’s as rewarding as it is unique, we’d love to hear from you. This is your chance to do more than protect a special place. It’s your chance to help shape its future.
