About the Role
We have a fantastic opportunity to join our team in Grantham as an LV / HV Cable Jointer working on our NGED contract. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance to standards of workmanship for yourself and others on the project, maintaining adherence to authorisation procedures. Your work will involve development sites and public highways, requiring good knowledge and understanding of utility plans. Key duties include undertaking all cable jointing and network energisation activities, installation of electrical connections, preparation and use of tools and machinery, and preparing work sites for various tasks. You will ensure projects are completed to agreed specifications and timescales.

Experience
Proven experience working with HV cable jointing and a good understanding of sustainability, health and safety.
Proven track record in construction, repair and operation of electrical plant and equipment up to 33kV.
Experience working with DNO operational authorisation and knowledge of relevant DNO policies and procedures.
About you
Flexible and willing to carry out stand-by duties and attend short notice work during severe weather.
Ability to work on development sites and public highways.
Good knowledge and understanding of utility plans.
Committed to quality workmanship and compliance with standards.
Must hold a valid driving licence as travel to different locations is required.
DBS clearance is required due to working with the general public.
Qualifications
Cable Jointer qualification or equivalent.
Valid EUSR or CSCS card.
Valid First Aid qualification.
Qualified electrical engineer with technical status.
DNO operational authorisation.
