Location
Exeter, UK - covering the South West region. Mostly local work with occasional overnight stays (expenses covered).
Hours
Full-time, typically 40–45 hours per week. Overtime paid on all hours over 45 per week.
Salary
£42,000 - £48,000 per year, with higher earnings achievable through additional overtime.
About the Role
SunGift Solar is seeking a qualified Maintenance Electrician (Solar) to join our Operations & Maintenance team. You will diagnose and maintain solar PV systems, carry out planned maintenance and inspections, complete technical remedials and component replacements, and support the installation of solar PV and battery systems across domestic and commercial sites. The role also involves providing technical support to customers and mentoring junior team members. Experience
Minimum 4 years commercial electrical experience required. Experience with solar PV and battery systems is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

Qualified electrician looking to develop or move into a career in solar. Reliable, motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to travel across the South West and occasionally stay overnight. Strong communication skills and a supportive attitude towards mentoring junior colleagues.
Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 Electrician with AM2
BS 7671: 18th Edition qualification or willingness to update
Full UK driving licence
Desirable: C&G 2391 Test & Inspect, SSSTS or SMSTS certifications
No solar experience required as full training will be provided.
