About the Role
An exciting opportunity has emerged for a skilled Mobile Maintenance Electrician to join City Facilities Management (UK) to work with one of our major UK supermarket clients. This role involves maintaining and repairing a wide range of electrical and mechanical plant and equipment in retail outlets. You will undertake regular planned store visits to complete reactive maintenance, Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), and minor repairs as requested by the customer, including some non-electrical tasks.
Key responsibilities include completing the PPM schedule within agreed timescales and ensuring all necessary paperwork is accurately completed, delivering reactive and planned fire alarm system maintenance, conducting emergency lighting tests and repairs, and completing general repairs such as door repairs, plumbing tasks, and flooring maintenance. You will also identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise your Line Manager with recommendations for suitable replacements.
This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance within a retail environment and the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.
Experience
- Proven experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance within a retail environment.
- Ability to maintain and repair a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment, including commercial ovens, dishwashers, and microwaves.
- Experience using PDA systems for job management is desirable.

Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 / City and Guilds 236 Part 1 + 2 or equivalent in electrical installation/maintenance.
- City and Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- AM2 / 2391 qualification.
