About the Role
We are seeking a Nature Finance Lead to shape and deliver an ambitious programme connecting nature recovery, climate action, and innovative finance approaches. This role will secure investment, build strong partnerships, and support projects that create lasting impact across the Lake District National Park. You will lead the development of nature-based finance within the Authority, from policy and governance to income generation and project delivery. Key responsibilities include securing and managing investment from private, government, and emerging nature markets, promoting high-integrity schemes supporting biodiversity, climate adaptation, and emissions reduction, and contributing to the National Park Partnership Plan's delivery and future direction. You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of ecologists, rangers, and specialists, as well as partners, farmers, and land managers, to develop scalable solutions that restore ecosystems and strengthen climate resilience.
