About the Role
Join SSE Renewables at Hadyard Hill Wind Farm, the first in the UK to generate more than 100MW. You will play a key role in maintaining a 120MW wind farm consisting of 51 turbines, helping to generate clean electricity for homes across the UK. This role offers opportunities for entry-level Technicians starting a career in Renewables through to Enhanced Wind Turbine Technicians driving the change to Net Zero.

You will carry out planned maintenance and fault-finding to keep the 51-turbine site running safely and efficiently, including work at satellite sites Artfield Fell and Balmurrie with 22 additional turbines. You will help maximise turbine performance, ensuring the wind farm operates at its best throughout the year. Working alongside experienced technicians, you will deliver high-quality maintenance using safe, structured work practices and assist in improving site performance to generate more renewable energy. You will also play an active role in scheduled standby cover, supporting the safe and reliable operation of the wind farm with a rotational allowance.

Experience
Experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance, ideally on wind turbines or heavy plant machinery.

About you
A proactive problem solver with the ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team. You must be willing to live within approximately 45 minutes of Hadyard Hill Wind Farm or be prepared to relocate to meet this requirement. An understanding of safe working practices, including permit systems and working-at-height procedures, is essential.

Qualifications
A Level 3 qualification (NC/SVQ or equivalent) in a mechanical or electrical discipline, ideally supported by a recognised apprenticeship.
