About the Role

As Operations Manager, you will lead a large team and be responsible for ensuring operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and productively. Your key duties will include managing the operations and warehousing teams across multiple UK sites, working closely with the Personnel Manager to maintain a well-trained and motivated workforce. You will act as the appointed Health and Safety Officer, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.

You will oversee stock control in collaboration with the purchasing department to maintain accurate real-time stock listings. Ensuring reliable and prompt customer deliveries, you will continue to develop our in-house logistics fleet. Additionally, you will identify and implement process improvements, track and optimise KPIs related to quality, efficiency, and safety, and foster a culture of safety and productivity within the warehouse teams. You will be responsible for cost-effective operational management and report directly to the Commercial Director, collaborating closely with senior colleagues across personnel, finance, and purchasing departments.

This is a challenging and fulfilling role within a young, dynamic company committed to leading the renewable energy transition. The position can be based at our head office near Milton Country Park, Cambridge, or our new offices in Garforth, Leeds, with regular travel to other sites.

Experience
Most applicants will have a background in warehouse or operations management. Prior experience in these areas is advantageous but not essential as transferable skills will also be considered.
