Location

Conveniently located with excellent transport links including Dartford rail station adjacent to the Council offices, providing fast connections to London via the Elizabeth Line, Thameslink, and direct services to Charing Cross and Victoria. Hours
Full Time. Hybrid working arrangements available, balancing home and office-based working. Part-time working arrangements may be considered for the right candidate.

You will maximise benefits from multi-million pound Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) funding and contribute to the preparation of statutory Plans, infrastructure policy, or strategic public sector development management. This role requires an innovative and flexible thinker ready to work within a positive and integrated Planning & Place division. You will manage and work with an enthusiastic team, reporting to and supported by the Head of Planning Strategy, and play a key role in shaping the Borough’s future growth and infrastructure investment.
Experience
Significant experience in planning strategy or infrastructure planning, including statutory Plan preparation, infrastructure policy work, or strategic public sector development management. Demonstrable experience of policy-based decisions on infrastructure planning, investment, or developer contribution expenditure prioritisation is essential. Substantial knowledge of national planning policy, local plan legislation, and reform is required.

Qualifications
Relevant professional qualifications in planning or a related discipline are expected, alongside membership or eligibility for membership of a relevant professional body.
