About the Role
Renew Heat Ltd are seeking a Plumbing Apprentice to join their building services team within the construction industry. In this role, you will learn how to size, plan, install, service, maintain and commission plumbing and domestic heating systems. You will gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced Gas Safe™ engineers, supporting you to develop the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in plumbing and heating.
Your responsibilities will include planning plumbing and heating systems to meet customer needs and industry standards, selecting and sizing systems according to manufacturers’ guidance and regulations, preparing and installing systems, testing and commissioning installations, providing clear handover instructions to customers, carrying out routine servicing and maintenance, diagnosing and fixing faults, safely decommissioning systems, and following all health, safety and welfare requirements in the workplace.
This apprenticeship includes regular training with Yeovil College, where at least 20% of your working hours will be dedicated to training or studying. The training will cover the Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technician Level 3 standard, combining workplace learning with college attendance. On completion, you will receive a Level 3 qualification in Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technician, with possible Functional Skills in Maths and English depending on your current level.
Renew Heat Ltd is a trusted local plumbing, heating and renewable energy company based in Dorset and Somerset. The friendly team specialises in plumbing, bathroom installations, heating services including boiler servicing and underfloor heating, renewable energy solutions such as heat pumps and solar installations, and emergency callouts. As an apprentice, you will be part of a supportive team making a difference in the community.

May be required to attend a telephone interview with Yeovil College prior to application progress
