About the Role
The Porter is responsible for maintaining all internal meeting rooms and their services to the highest standards at all times, ensuring all room setups are completed correctly. Duties include completing morning and evening checklists, working as part of a team to set up rooms and event spaces by physically moving, measuring, and rearranging furniture. The role involves managing larger meeting room layouts such as theatre, classroom, boardroom, U-shape, and cabaret styles. The Porter ensures meeting rooms are ready throughout the day by carrying out pre- and post-changeover cleaning, addressing marks or spills, and maintaining stocked stationery including pens, pads, and whiteboard markers.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining meeting room equipment (e.g., ensuring table batteries are charged), reporting issues to the Helpdesk or supervisor, daily communication with Facilities to record and report faults, collection and delivery of parcels and event printing, health and safety walk rounds, and ad hoc facilities tasks such as assisting with keys or moving furniture. The role covers multiple floors and focuses on internal meeting rooms only, with occasional escorting of contractors. Use of provided trolleys and uniform including smart black safety shoes is required.

The Porter liaises with multiple departments, primarily the Facilities team, and occasionally the Mailroom, performing ad hoc duties as needed. Training will be provided to ensure familiarity with relevant departments and procedures.
