About the Role
This new role will assist in delivering our project: Coalface to Wildspace Yorkshire. The project aims to achieve landscape scale habitat creation and restoration across Yorkshire, focusing on creating and restoring ponds and improving surrounding terrestrial habitats for the benefit of amphibians, reptiles, and a wide range of other wildlife. To encourage widescale community engagement, you will help deliver a comprehensive educational, enjoyable, and inclusive programme of activities. These will include wildlife gardening workshops, small and medium habitat works, creative activities, volunteer support, working with schools and community groups, promoting the project, monitoring and evaluation, and other activities that contribute to the successful delivery of the project. Experience
Experience in environmental or community projects, habitat management, or education is desirable but not essential. Enthusiasm for wildlife conservation and community engagement is important.
About you
You should be motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Good communication and organisational skills are essential. A commitment to promoting inclusivity and engaging diverse communities is required.
Qualifications
No specific qualifications are required, although relevant experience or education in conservation, ecology, education, or community work will be an advantage.
