About the Role
Mott MacDonald is a global engineering, management, and development consultancy with over 20,000 employees across more than 50 countries. Our Energy unit delivers integrated engineering and project management services across the project lifecycle, supporting the global energy transition. We are seeking a Project Manager to lead technical advisory projects within the Energy Systems team, focusing on decarbonisation efforts in the UK and Europe. This role involves delivering projects on time, quality, and budget, managing client and stakeholder relationships, leading problem solving and decision making, and improving project management processes to drive delivery excellence and efficiency. You will work on multiple projects concurrently in a dynamic environment, contributing to initiatives that support the energy transition and reduce carbon emissions.

About the Business Unit
The Energy unit works across hydropower, nuclear, waste, renewable energy, and transmission & distribution networks. We provide services from concept and design through construction, operations, decommissioning, and life extension, helping clients deliver the energy transition globally.

Requirements

Experience
- Proven success delivering projects within the energy sector, working for consultancies, designers, contractors, or major industry clients
- Experience in electrical infrastructure projects such as Owner's Engineer or Lender's Engineer roles
- Contract administration experience, ideally with NEC contract forms (not essential)
- Knowledge of change management, risk management, schedule and cost management, and other project management disciplines
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications
- Relevant engineering or project management degree or equivalent experience in energy sector project management
- Relevant project management qualifications such as PMQ or Prince 2 are desirable
- Experience within the Energy Advisory sector and across all project lifecycle stages is advantageous
