About the Role
This internship offers a unique opportunity to support the day-to-day operations of Barclays' Public Policy and Corporate Responsibility (PPCR) division. You will provide insights and expertise to help senior colleagues make informed decisions, develop new products and services, and identify market opportunities. Your responsibilities will include executing small research projects, supporting strategic decision-making, preparing presentations and reports, and collaborating with senior management to implement research findings. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and participate in training programs to enhance your skills. The role also involves managing client relationships, providing customer service support, and contributing to the development and implementation of financial models and strategies related to public policy and corporate responsibility. You may also have opportunities to train and mentor junior colleagues and develop training materials.

As part of the internship, you will gain hands-on experience working on diverse and intellectually challenging projects in a fast-paced environment. You will learn how to communicate and engage effectively with senior stakeholders, think strategically about outcomes, and understand how the PPCR function supports Barclays' strategic and commercial objectives. This is an excellent chance to explore a career in corporate affairs and build lasting connections within a leading global bank.

Barclays values Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence, and Stewardship, and expects all colleagues to embody these principles. The Barclays Mindset of Empower, Challenge, and Drive guides how we work and grow together.

If successful, you will be based in London for the duration of the internship, and if offered a graduate role, your location will remain the same. Please note this internship and subsequent graduate programme do not offer visa sponsorship; applicants must have the legal right to work full-time in the UK from June to August 2026 and beyond if progressing to the graduate programme.
