About the Role
This internship offers a unique opportunity to support the day-to-day operations of Barclays' Public Policy and Corporate Responsibility (PPCR) division. You will provide insights and expertise to help senior colleagues make informed decisions, develop new products and services, and identify market opportunities. Your responsibilities will include executing small research projects, supporting strategic decision-making through research, preparing presentations and reports, and collaborating with senior management and cross-functional teams to implement findings. You will also participate in training programs to enhance your skills, assist in managing client relationships, and contribute to the development and deployment of financial models and strategies related to public policy and corporate responsibility.
As part of the PPCR team, you will work on diverse and intellectually challenging projects in a fast-paced environment, engaging with stakeholders such as media, government, regulators, NGOs, communities, and colleagues. This role will help you develop strategic thinking, communication skills, and an understanding of how corporate affairs contribute to Barclays' broader objectives. You will be fully supported throughout the internship, gaining hands-on experience and building lasting professional connections.

Experience
Penultimate or final year university student with strong written and oral communication skills. Interest in corporate affairs, public policy, or corporate responsibility is highly desirable.

Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a university degree program and eligible to work full-time in the UK from June 2026 to August 2026 without sponsorship. Legal right to work in the UK is required for both the internship and any subsequent graduate programme offer. No specific academic qualifications beyond university enrollment are required.
