About the Role
Brocket Hall is one of the UK’s most prestigious golf and hospitality destinations, home to two championship golf courses – The Melbourne and The Palmerston. Our Course Maintenance team plays a pivotal role in delivering world-class playing conditions for our members and guests year-round. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Greenkeeper to join our team and help maintain the high standards that define Brocket Hall. Responsibilities include performing advanced landscaping tasks such as mowing, aeration, fertilization, and pest management with strict adherence to safety guidelines. You will oversee and participate in the day-to-day maintenance of the golf course, including greens, tees, fairways, and bunkers. You will assist in the formulation and execution of annual course maintenance plans, seasonal changes, and turf management practices. Maintaining and repairing maintenance equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety is essential. You will conduct inspections to diagnose problems and implement corrective measures as necessary. Training and mentoring junior staff and apprentices to enhance their skills and ensure effective course maintenance is a key part of the role. Additionally, you will engage with members and guests to provide insights about course conditions and upcoming maintenance activities. Promoting and adhering to health and safety regulations and environmental sustainability practices is expected throughout your work.

Experience
Proven experience as a greenkeeper or in a similar role, with relevant qualifications in turf management.
About you
Comprehensive knowledge of turf management practices, health and safety regulations, and maintenance equipment. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to effectively manage tasks. Excellent leadership and communication skills for training and mentoring team members. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks. Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in turf management. Valid driver's license and the ability to transport equipment as necessary.
