About the Role
Yorwaste is expanding and following the introduction of the Simpler Recycling Legislation in April 2025, we are recruiting Recycling Collection Vehicle (RCV) Drivers to join our Transport team at the Harewood Whin Transfer Station. As an RCV Driver, you will be responsible for providing waste collection services to commercial customers across York and North Yorkshire. Working independently, you will manage your workload effectively while ensuring the safe operation and driving of various vehicles in line with health and safety standards.
You will demonstrate strong organisational and time-management skills, adapting to changing routes and schedules based on client and business needs. A positive and enthusiastic approach is essential to overcome operational challenges, including varying weather conditions. Excellent communication skills are required to coordinate with transport planners and the wider team, delivering an efficient and friendly service.

Experience
Experience operating Recycling Collection Vehicles or similar vehicle types and experience within the waste industry is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications
Category C Drivers Licence (Class 2) with no historical driving disqualifications.
Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
