About the Role
Knowsley Council, an award-winning Local Authority named Local Authority of the Year in the Municipal Journal Awards 2024, is seeking to appoint highly motivated, flexible and committed Recycling Officers. The role involves collection and emptying of waste and recycling containers, removal of bulky household waste items, and engagement with members of the public to secure high levels of recycling and customer satisfaction. The position requires significant amounts of walking, lifting, and manoeuvring of waste collection receptacles, with an ability to meet high production levels while fully complying with health and safety requirements. Experience
Preferably experience in providing waste and recycling collection services, operating bin lift and compaction equipment on refuse collection vehicles, and responding to customers in a helpful, informative, and courteous manner.

Able to meet high production standards while maintaining full compliance with health and safety requirements.
