About the Role
Meta is seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and manage the implementation and execution of EHS programs across multiple facilities. This role ensures regulatory compliance, operational readiness, and continuous improvement in EHS practices. You will oversee contractor and vendor-managed EHS professionals and collaborate closely with lab and process managers, safety engineers, and other stakeholders to foster a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
Key responsibilities include leading and conducting site assessments, job and task risk assessments, and incident investigations to ensure compliance and continuous improvement. You will collaborate with subject matter experts in areas such as lasers, hazardous chemicals, industrial hygiene, robotics, and occupational safety. Partnering with Safety Engineering, you will support the successful handover of new equipment and facilities.
Ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local EHS laws, regulations, and permits is critical. You will develop, maintain, and execute emergency response plans, serving as an emergency response coordinator when needed. Driving continuous improvement efforts by learning from incident investigations and corrective actions is essential.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining legal and risk registers, environmental impact assessments, and ensuring critical controls are effective and communicated. You will provide meaningful metrics and reporting to support leadership decision-making, lead risk management efforts including hazard identification and corrective actions, and champion continuous improvement through audits, inspections, data analysis, and implementation of innovative safety and environmental solutions.
Driving employee engagement and EHS initiatives through communication, training, and leadership involvement is a key part of this role.
