About the Role
Regional Flood and Coastal Committees (RFCCs) are independent bodies that play a vital role in reducing the risk of flooding and coastal erosion and their impact on communities across England. Working closely with the Environment Agency, RFCCs help people and wildlife adapt to climate change by managing risks such as flooding, drought, sea level rise, and coastal erosion. As an independent member of your local RFCC, you will help manage flood and coastal risk in your region, giving a voice to local communities and helping them become more resilient to climate challenges. Your responsibilities will include managing flood and coastal risk, approving projects and programmes that protect homes and livelihoods, and developing local partnerships to fund, build, and manage these initiatives. Experience
