About the Role
As the Regional Health, Safety and Environmental Manager for North America at ATS Corporation, you will be responsible for promoting and implementing health, safety, and environmental programs across assigned locations. Reporting to the Corporate Director of Health, Safety & Environment, you will act as a technical resource, providing guidance and training on various HSE issues. You will lead internal audits to ensure compliance with legislative and corporate standards and drive continuous improvement in injury prevention, safety culture, and sustainability initiatives.

Your role includes anticipating, recognizing, evaluating, and controlling health and safety hazards, working closely with operations to identify and mitigate risks, delivering corporate HSE training, and monitoring adherence to HSE programs. You will oversee environmental compliance, support operations leaders during regulatory activities, and participate in global HSE initiatives to maintain industry-leading safety practices.

Additional responsibilities include analyzing injury trends and root causes, managing workers’ compensation claims, supporting Joint Health and Safety Committee activities, and providing leadership in sustainability efforts such as waste reduction and energy consumption. You will ensure all activities comply with ATS’s Code of Business Conduct and uphold the highest ethical standards.

Experience
- Minimum ten years of hands-on health and safety experience in a manufacturing environment with multi-site responsibility
- Extensive knowledge of Canadian (Ontario and Quebec) and USA safety and environmental regulations
- Experience leading safety programs related to robots, lasers, electrical safety/arc flash prevention (NFPE 70E), fire prevention, and control of hazardous energy (LOTO)
- Skilled in HSE training program development and delivery, behavior-based safety, emissions management, hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, and ESG
- Proficient in root cause analysis and various investigation tools
- Strong verbal communication skills; French-speaking is beneficial but not required
- Ability to travel up to 30% within Canada and USA

Qualifications
