About the Role
We are seeking a Reserves Officer to support the delivery of work on our nature reserves in Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion. The Wildlife Trust of South & West Wales is a charity dedicated to protecting the region’s most precious wild places for people and wildlife. In this role, you will help ensure our reserves deliver maximum benefits for biodiversity and reserve users. Key responsibilities include supporting the restoration of temperate rainforest habitats across woodland creation sites as part of a UK-wide Aviva-funded project, acting as the first point of contact for project enquiries, assisting the Conservation Team with habitat management, estates work and occasional contract work, organising and running volunteer workdays and individual volunteer activities, and carrying out survey and monitoring work to inform planning, management, and reporting.

Experience
Experience in habitat management, conservation, or related environmental work is desirable to effectively support reserve management and restoration projects.
About you
You should be passionate about wildlife and habitat conservation, organised, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating volunteer activities and liaising with project stakeholders.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in ecology, conservation, environmental science, or related fields are advantageous but not explicitly stated as mandatory.
