About the Role
At WSP, you will have the opportunity to contribute to landmark projects and work alongside some of the brightest minds in your field. We are seeking a Road Safety Auditor / Road Safety professional to join our Liveable Places team, supporting a varied project pipeline across London and the South-East regions. Your responsibilities will include undertaking Road Safety Audits, working on Vision Zero and Road Safety projects such as collision data analysis, designing road safety schemes, and delivering strategies and action plans based on the Safe System approach. You will also take on Project Management duties including managing project finances, programmes, and deliverables. Additionally, you will prepare reports, sketches, schedules, and other documents in line with local procedures and guidance. This role offers the chance to work collaboratively with the Liveable Places team and wider WSP business to achieve shared goals.
About the Liveable Places Team
The Liveable Places team works with a wide range of local authority clients across the UK to help achieve place-making ambitions. We deliver diverse schemes from concept to delivery, including public realm, traffic engineering, transport planning, road safety, traffic signals, pedestrian and traffic modelling, active travel, and parking. Our recent key successes include projects with Gloucestershire County Council, West Sussex County Council, East Sussex County Council, West Berkshire Council, Cambridgeshire County Council, West of England Combined Authorities, Devon County Council, National Highways, Westminster City Council, and many others. The team consists of over 200 enthusiastic professionals based across the country, with further growth planned. Experience
Qualified Road Safety Auditor in accordance with DMRB GG 119. Experience in road safety, collision data analysis, and mitigation measures. Understanding of Vision Zero and the Safe System approach. Proven project management experience including financial management and mentoring junior colleagues.
About you
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines. Able to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients. Comfortable working under pressure while maintaining high service levels.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications as a Road Safety Auditor and project management experience are essential. We welcome applications from candidates who may not meet all criteria but have relevant experience and a passion for road safety and project delivery.
