About the Role
We have a great opportunity for a Safety, Health & Environment Advisor to join our team within Vistry Services. You will support Vistry Group in the safe planning, delivery and review of a variety of complex projects across all areas of the construction and maintenance industry, ensuring compliance with Vistry Group Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Policies, Standards and legislation. Your role will include identifying roles and responsibilities under CDM Regulations, facilitating policy implementation to reduce risk, and promoting a positive SHE culture through site visits, meetings and forums. You will support the use of the Group’s ActivSHEQ database, assist in SHE Management Reviews, and help plan and achieve SHE objectives. You will carry out formal monthly SHE reviews on all sites to ensure compliance, provide advice and guidance to site teams, and intervene where unsafe working practices are identified. Additionally, you will assist in preparing construction SHE Plans, support subcontractor performance management, and liaise with external bodies such as the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). You will also be responsible for investigating incidents, ensuring recommendations are implemented, and providing SHE information through briefings, workshops and inductions. This role requires a dynamic and proactive approach to promoting SHE across the Group and representing Vistry as a responsible and compliant business.

Experience
Proven experience in a Safety Advisor role within Residential Construction or Tier 1 Contracting.
Experience in the construction industry is essential.
Experience in housebuilding is desirable.
