About the Role
Immediate Media Co is home to some of the biggest and most loved consumer brands in the UK, including Radio Times, Good Food and BBC Gardeners’ World magazine. Our trusted, quality content reaches millions of people a month across digital, print, video, podcasts, apps and live events. We inspire, fuel, encourage and educate audiences to get more from the things they love, whether it’s fitness goals, good food, cultivating outdoor spaces, or enjoying the latest TV sensation.
As a Sales Executive, you will be part of the team selling across BBC Gardeners’ World Live and BBC Gardeners’ World Fairs within the Gardening Portfolio. Reporting to the Sales Manager/Deputy Sales Manager, you will be responsible for selling stand space and digital assets across the events to both existing and new clients, ranging from independent businesses to larger gardening brands.
You will be a target-driven and self-motivated salesperson, passionate about your products and a strong team player. Naturally curious, you will seek new commercial opportunities, enjoy making sales calls, pitching, negotiating, and closing business. Excellent listening and communication skills are essential to manage your own business and work collaboratively within the team, ensuring exhibitors receive consistent, high-quality customer care from contracting through to the event.
Key responsibilities include working with the Sales Manager and Sales Development Manager to meet exhibitor targets in both quality and quantity, selling stand space and digital assets, identifying new leads, researching business opportunities, visiting competitor events, engaging and closing new prospects, managing CRM data accurately, producing sales contracts, keeping floorplans updated, managing client debt with finance, participating in onsite rebooks, and attending Immediate Live shows which may require overnight stays.
