About the Role
Motion Applied is at the forefront of innovation in automotive, aerospace, motorsport, and transportation industries, driving breakthroughs in performance and sustainability. We are seeking a Sales Manager to lead global Business Development activities for our Electrification portfolio. This role focuses on expanding our presence in established markets such as Automotive and developing new revenue streams in Aerospace, Marine, and Commercial Vehicles.
The successful candidate will proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities worldwide, manage requests for quotations, and build a credible sales pipeline aligned with company targets. Working closely with the UK engineering team, you will support the delivery of annual and 5-year financial and strategic goals.
Key responsibilities include managing sales pipelines, contract negotiations, supporting strategic growth plans, providing market intelligence, and collaborating with product, engineering, and marketing teams to position Motion Applied as a technology leader in electrification globally. This role requires strong leadership in business development and sales management within a technical environment.
Experience
- Proven experience in Business Development or Sales within a technical industry.
- Desirable experience in Tier 1 powertrain, inverter, or motor product sales.
- Strong network within Automotive or Aerospace OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, especially in electrification.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage a qualified sales pipeline and close high-value technical B2B sales.
- Experience with value-based selling techniques and writing/presenting complex proposals.
- Previous marketing experience with technology products and familiarity with CRM software tools is desirable.
About you
- Strong technical background, ideally with an Engineering or Science degree.
- Knowledge of electrification, electronic products, and power electronics is desirable.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging internal and external executive audiences.
- Team player with proven interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in written and spoken English; additional language skills are a plus.
- Self-starter, flexible, entrepreneurial mindset, and able to thrive in a non-hierarchical, growth-oriented environment.
Qualifications
- Engineering or Science degree is desirable.
- Knowledge of electrification technologies and power electronics preferred.
