About the Role
The Scheme Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the scheme, including the maintenance and repair of the building, communal areas, and gardens. This live-in role supports residents aged 55+ to live independently while ensuring the scheme is well maintained, safe, and aesthetically appealing. A key part of the role involves regular maintenance of the communal gardens.

You will support residents’ wellbeing through regular contact and daily welfare checks, respond to emergency calls and coordinate support as needed, encourage social activities to build a strong inclusive community spirit, and liaise with families, GPs, and external agencies. You will oversee communal areas, work with contractors to maintain high standards, and carry out health and safety checks to ensure compliance.

Gardening & Grounds Maintenance
Maintain gardens, lawns, and planted areas; carry out planting including seasonal bedding; perform weeding, pruning, hedge cutting, and lawn care; maintain and clear paths and communal outdoor areas; use weed control safely; maintain tools and equipment; improve outdoor spaces; keep outdoor areas safe and presentable.

Maintenance & Repairs
Carry out minor repairs and maintenance such as changing lightbulbs, fuses, and batteries; report repairs and liaise with the Repairs Team and contractors.

Experience
Experience of working with older customers is essential.
