About the Role
Midland Heart is a commercially successful housing association with a £232 million turnover, 29% operating surplus, and a portfolio of over 35,000 homes valued at approximately £4 billion. We are dedicated to providing quality services to our tenants and are seeking a Senior Asset Investment Manager (Retrofit) to lead the strategic delivery of retrofit projects across our property portfolio.
In this role, you will oversee a team of Contract Managers and drive energy efficiency improvements to ensure our properties meet Band C by 2030. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing retrofit strategy through thorough property assessments to identify energy efficiency opportunities.
- Managing project budgets, forecasts, and timelines to meet financial and sustainability targets.
- Ensuring full compliance with PAS 2035, retrofit legislation, and grant funding requirements.
- Leading collaboration with contractors, consultants, and tenants to ensure smooth project execution.
- Providing technical oversight to resolve issues and deliver high-quality outcomes aligned with contract SLAs and KPIs.
- Staying informed on emerging retrofit measures, funding streams, and sector best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- Participating in an on-call/standby rota to provide out-of-hours emergency support as required.
Midland Heart operates Smart Working practices, requiring the successful candidate to work from a Midland Heart site at least 3 days per week, with the remainder of the time working remotely.
Experience
- Proven experience in maintenance contract management within commercial or residential settings.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of compliance legislation and contract law.
- Significant technical experience in construction or maintenance-related contract management.

Qualifications
